Toy Fair New York Takes Home Top Honors

toy-fair-new-yorkMay 22, 2020 | Toy Fair New York, the largest toy show in the Western Hemisphere produced by The Toy Association, has been recognized by two leading awards programs for both its 2019 show and its 2020 show marketing campaign in collaboration with T3Expo Marketing.

Toy Fair New York 2019 was listed as one of the Top Trade Shows of 2019 by Trade Show News Network (TSNN). That year’s event was the 33rd largest industry trade show in the U.S., based on overall net square footage, boasting 1,039 exhibitors, 12,820 attendees, and 447,458 net square feet of exhibit space.

In addition, Toy Fair New York’s 2020 “Welcome to Fun City” campaign was recognized by the Academy of Interactive & Visual Arts’ (AIVA) Communicator Awards with two awards for “Best Integrated Campaign.” It was presented with an Award of Excellence for the business-to-consumer subcategory and an Award of Distinction for the promotional campaign subcategory. The Communicator Awards honors creative excellence among creative professionals and recognizes projects that exceed industry standards in quality and achievement. Entries are judged on their merits against a 100-point scale of excellence; Excellence winners receive a score of 90 or above and Distinction winners receive a score of 70 to 89.

“We are so thrilled to be recognized by these leading awards programs,” said Marian Bossard, The Toy Association’s executive vice president of global market events. “It is proof that the excellent work we at The Toy Association do with our partners at T3Expo to grow and promote the industry and our global events is resonating. As you can see from the pool of winners on both lists, we are in excellent company among some of the biggest names in global events.”

Renewal applications for Toy Fair New York 2021 are due May 31. Once complete, general applications will open. To get a jumpstart on 2021 business, members are also encouraged to attend Toy Fair Dallas from October 6 to 8 and join the Association for three virtual Toy Fair Everywhere market weeks, taking place in July, August, and September, designed to help keep business moving forward amid the pandemic. All three shows are expected to draw buyers, exhibitors, manufacturers’ reps, inventors, and other industry professionals to explore playthings from global toymakers.
