Toy Association to Host Second Student Congress Day at Toy Fair 2023

December 12, 2022 | Toy Fair 2023, taking place September 30 to October 3 at the Javits Convention Center in New York City, will welcome the next generation of emerging talent at its second in-person Student Congress Day.

Undergraduate-level students across various disciplines will have the opportunity to connect with The Toy Association’s Young Professionals Network, attend panels about career development and tips on breaking into the toy industry, participate in hands-on sessions, and meet with hundreds of exhibitors on the show floor. All participating undergraduates in the Student Congress can also join Toy Fair attendees at Toy Fair University programming throughout all four days of the show.

“After its successful inaugural launch at Toy Fair 2020, Student Congress Day is returning to celebrate and foster the growth of future toy professionals at the largest and most influential toy industry event in North America,” said Jacqueline Retzer, director of event management at The Toy Association. “We’re excited to welcome this group of up-and-coming talent to experience the magic of Toy Fair, attend the industry’s best educational sessions, network, and gain exposure to all the opportunities the toy and children’s entertainment industry has to offer.”

Since the Student Congress Day initiative launched in 2020, the Association launched a career center for members to connect with this group and partnered with The Toy Foundation to offer undergraduates from the University of North Texas educational sessions on diversity, equity, and inclusion at the 2023 Preview and 2022 Holiday Market event in September.

More details about Student Congress Day, including the schedule of events, will be announced in the coming months.
