toy-trends-logoOctober 10, 2022 | As the countdown to Toy Fair 2023 begins, The Toy Association has announced that general exhibitor applications are now open for the iconic event, taking place September 30 to October 3, 2023 in New York City.

The reimagined Toy Fair is evolving right alongside the business of play. The event’s new fall timeline is aligned with today’s shifting buying cycles and accelerated delivery timelines, giving companies the opportunity to strengthen their business and expand their reach. Companies of all sizes can take advantage of the show’s new timeframe, showcasing their priority holiday items while taking 2024 preview meetings behind closed doors.

Expected to once again welcome play professionals from 100 countries and members of the global press — all in search of the next hit toys — Toy Fair 2023 will create a more immersive experience for all show attendees. The event’s new visual merchandising initiative will require exhibitors to make product visible in at least 20% of their aisle-facing exhibit space. As requested by the show’s attendees, this encourages more buyer interactions and will help attract media attention for the holiday season.

Toy Fair will also host the first-ever Reimagination Awards, rewarding exhibitors with stand-out displays. Exhibit booths will be judged by a panel of media, trade show experts, and toy professionals based on creativity, effectiveness, presentation, and overall structure. The judges will award five companies in each of the four categories: Connection, Out-of-the-Box, Powerfully Playful, and Warm Welcome. Winners will be announced at the show on Sunday, October 1, 2023.
