Toy Association Members Invited to External Affairs Strategy Meeting

Meeting to Discuss 2018 Priority Issues and Strategic Direction for the Association's Government Affairs

September 18, 2017 | Members of The Toy Association are invited to register for the upcoming External Affairs Strategy Meeting, scheduled to take place November 7 to 8 at The Madison Hotel in Washington, DC.

The meeting will bring together members and Toy Association staff to discuss state, federal, and international legislative priorities for 2018, to outline communications and messaging plans related to these priorities, and to strategize on short- and long-term industry issues.

“On top of being a great way to network and learn more about critical issues, it’s a unique opportunity for our members to provide their input on matters that will impact their businesses in the years ahead,” explains Ed Desmond, executive vice president of external affairs at The Toy Association.

Speakers from government agencies and key business partners will share their expertise on a range of topics, including intellectual property protection, marketing to children, connected toys, trade, and international regulatory issues. The meeting will begin at 8 a.m. on November 7 and wrap up on the afternoon of November 8. An official meeting agenda will be shared in the coming weeks.

Full Toy Association members are encouraged to register now for the Strategy Meeting. A block of hotel rooms at The Madison Hotel has been reserved for members at a preferred rate; Samantha Slosberg can provide a reservation link for registrees.
