Don’t Forget to Donate Toys & Games at the Close of Toy Fair
Exhibiting companies at the 114th North American International Toy Fair are encouraged to donate their toys and games to the Toy Industry Foundation’s (TIF) largest toy drive of the year. The collection will take place immediately following the close of the show (February 21).
TIA Updates Members at Annual General Meeting; Re-Elects Four Board Members
At its “Annual General Meeting” today, the Toy Industry Association (TIA) shared with members results of its work on behalf of the toy community as well as important updates regarding the Association’s new strategic plan, rebranding efforts to be unveiled this spring, and its 2016 fiscal performance. Four members were also re-elected to TIA’s board of directors.

Speaking today at a toy safety and compliance seminar hosted by the Toy Industry Association (TIA), Marietta Robinson, commissioner at the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), said that “U.S. children play with the safest toys in the world.”

114th North American International Toy Fair Opens Today
The 114th North American International Toy Fair opened its doors this morning to a sea of 30,000 global play professionals and guests eager to see hundreds of thousands of innovative new toys and games before they hit store shelves. Open through Tuesday, February 21, the four-day trade event has transformed New York City’s Jacob K. Javits Convention Center into a massive celebration of toys, youth entertainment, and the developmental benefits of childhood play.
