Ideas to Grow Your Business: Toy Industry Execs Share Firsthand Experiences at Annual Business Conference

March 29, 2019 | The latest ideas, innovations, and proven strategies to help you grow your business will be shared at The Toy Association’s Annual Business Conference, taking place June 18 to 19 in Minneapolis, MN.

Among a packed schedule of roundtables, workshops, and interactive discussions, participants will have the opportunity to attend a panel presentation and hear about the mergers and acquisition process from veteran toy industry executives during a Tuesday morning session titled, “M&A Panel: Buying or Selling a Company – Firsthand Experiences to Help You Prepare.”

Presenters will touch on critical information to consider when buying or selling a company or when raising capital from private equity investors, including determining a company’s worth in the marketplace, best practices on how to prepare for a transaction, and key issues that could impact the success or failure of a deal.

Panel presenters include:

  • Bob Wann, Chief Play Monster at PlayMonster and chairman of The Toy Association;
  • Jay Foreman, CEO of Basic Fun!;
  • Dean Stewart, vice president of credit and risk management at Spin Master; and
  • Jeremy Ballaro, CFO of Buffalo Games.

“The Annual Business Conference will deliver both growth strategies and ways to protect your business in the shifting toy and retail landscape,” said Steve Pasierb, president and CEO of The Toy Association and the panel’s moderator. “Learning from these seasoned owners who will share their own M&A journeys, together with sessions of invaluable industry research and the opportunity to gain exclusive insights from key Target executives, make for a winning combination. People in the business of toys need to be in Minneapolis this June.”

Toy industry executives and credit and logistics managers will discover key insights from Target, NPD Group, and others at this year’s business conference, which will take place at the Minneapolis Hilton. The registration rate for the 2019 Annual Business Conference for Toy Association members is $795 per person; the investment for non-members is $1,195 per person.
