Be a Part of a Special Curated Exhibit at Toy Fair Dallas

July 15, 2019 | Companies exhibiting at Toy Fair Dallas are invited to participate in the inaugural FutureCast Gallery, a new experiential initiative launched by The Toy Association that will showcase your products to retail buyers who are looking for the most innovative toys and games for their stores. Companies should submit their products for consideration by Thursday, August 15.

“The FutureCast Gallery, located on the 13th floor of the Dallas Market Center, will showcase new toys across a broad range of categories giving buyers a unique opportunity to shop the show and find new products in a fresh way,” said Marian Bossard, executive vice president of global market events at The Toy Association. “Buyers have been asking for this kind of experience at Toy Fair Dallas and we are excited to offer them multiple ways to view products while at the marketplace.”

Steve Starobinsky, founder of lifestyle brand KID@HEART and an expert in product discovery, serves as the guest curator of the experiential toy gallery. He will select the top toys across 10 different categories that spotlight the future of the industry.

“The gallery is all about retail discovery,” Starobinsky said. “It is a platform for companies and idea-makers to connect and collaborate with buyers, licensors, inventors, influencers, and anyone else that has a vested interest in the toy and play industries. If you have a product, a prototype, or an ideation that touches or furthers these 10 categories, we encourage you to apply.”

The 10 FutureCast Gallery categories are:

  • Animal of the Year
  • The Olympic Effect
  • Radical Sustainability
  • Doctor, Lawyer, Engineer, Creative
  • Beauty Videos & Make-Up
  • Grandparent-Friendly
  • The Spirit of Collaboration
  • STEM
  • Preschool Magic
  • Innovation on Wheels

To be a part of this highly curated, exclusive collection, Toy Fair Dallas exhibitors must submit an application. Each completed application must include:

  • A 90-second pitch video
  • Photos of the product or CAD and/or “paper napkin” drawings for review

Added Bossard: “The new FutureCast Gallery at Toy Fair Dallas will also serve as a not-to-be-missed destination. This highly visible, centrally located magnet area is also home base for engaging activities such as the show’s influencer breakfast, informational sessions focused on STEM/STEAM and doing business in China, networking during a Thursday afternoon ice cream social, and much more.”

Space is extremely limited for the FutureCast Gallery. Only those products that exemplify the identified future trends will be considered. If your product is accepted, there is a $1,000 participation fee. For more information about the FutureCast Gallery, contact The Toy Association’s Marian Bossard.
