Toy Fair Dallas Exhibitors: Submit Your Application to Secure a Spot for 2019

December 18, 2018 | Registration is open to secure exhibit space at Toy Fair Dallas (formerly Fall Toy Preview), taking place Wednesday, October 2 to Friday, October 4, 2019 in Dallas, TX. Returning exhibitors that participated in this year’s show have until January 21 to submit their application to be included in the first round of space assignments.

Similar to Toy Fair New York, exhibit space renewals for Toy Fair Dallas will now revolve around priority points earned. Those exhibitors renewing from the 2018 show have the opportunity to submit a renewal application and deposit by the January 21 deadline. After the deadline show organizers will tabulate all the applications and put them in order of priority points. Companies with the largest number of points will choose their space for the upcoming show first.

Additionally, the show’s floor plan has been reconfigured to allow for easier navigation and to also include an Innovation Zone on the 13th floor.  This zone will provide exhibitors with an additional exposure (through a paid opportunity) and buyers with more areas to view product. “Beginning with Toy Fair Dallas 2019, we will have a new name, a new floor plan, and a new process in place to secure space assignments,” said Marian Bossard, executive vice president of global market events at The Toy Association. “Over the years The Toy Association has consistently delivered high value and efficiency to the exhibitors and retailers at our fall event, who have made this preview an essential stop on the toy trade calendar. We are building on this strength in 2019 and look forward to welcoming new and existing exhibitors to our show.”

The 2018 marketplace featured thousands of innovative new playthings available for winter, spring, and holiday 2019 from more than 300 exhibitors. The marketplace saw a 25 percent increase in registered retail companies compared to last year. Notable retailers that attended the show included: Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Bed Bath & Beyond, BJ’s Wholesale, Burlington Stores, Dillard’s, Dollar Tree, Family Dollar, GameStop, Hobby Lobby, Michaels Stores, Party City, Spencer’s, Target, TJ Maxx/Marshalls/Home Goods, Toys “R” Us Canada, and Walmart.

Toy Fair Dallas “presents a wonderful opportunity to connect and reconnect with suppliers, identify trends, and kick start the fall assortment planning cycle,” said Jamie Uitdenhowen, chief merchandising officer at Party City. “The marketplace setting allows for chances to network and meet people on the supplier side, other retailers, and influencers. The events and seminars hosted throughout the days give teams the chance to partake in some extracurricular learning and development opportunities.”

Returning Toy Fair Dallas exhibitors may contact Stacy Liebensohn, account executive at The Toy Association, for more information. First round exhibit space assignments are scheduled to begin on February 25, 2019.
