Save the Date: The Toy Safety & Compliance Update at Toy Fair

January 16, 2018 | The Toy Association will host its annual Toy Safety & Compliance Update on the morning of Monday, February 19 at the 115th North American International Toy Fair. The free seminar will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in Hall 1E at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center. 

The always well-attended safety seminar will provide manufacturers, retailers, toy inventors, testing labs, and others within the toy industry with news and developments related to toy safety laws and regulations in the U.S. and abroad.

The presentation will be delivered by Toy Association staff and government officials, who will address:

  • The revised ASTM F963-17 Toy Safety Standard: What are the Changes and Timing of Implementation
  • Update and 2018 Forecast on State Legislative and Regulatory Activity
  • Privacy Concerns and Connected Products:  Understanding the FTC Requirements for Children’s Toys
  • Intellectual Property (IP) Protection Issues and Developments
  • International Trade Issues Impacting Toys
  • Q&A and Wrap-up

Additional seminar details – including an opening keynote address delivered by a senior government official – will be confirmed and announced in the coming weeks.
