Fall Toy Preview 2017 “Off to a Strong Start”
March 23, 2017 | Fall Toy Preview is “off to a strong start,” according to event organizers at the Toy Industry Association (TIA). Nearly 140 toy companies have already registered to showcase their newest toys and games at the long-lead fall marketplace, where mass and specialty buyers will negotiate customized products and exclusive lines months in advance of in-store delivery.
Taking place October 3-5, 2017 at the Dallas Market Center in Dallas, TX, Fall Toy Preview is expected to welcome more than 300 toymakers and 700 buyers from around the world. The show has a global reputation for being the place to see new innovations in toys and play, and this year will be no exception, says Marian Bossard, senior vice president of global market events at TIA.
“Excitement is already building for Fall Toy Preview, where savvy retailers will scope out developmental and educational toys, tech playthings, arts & crafts, books, puzzles & games, dolls, and more, all of which will drive sales in 2018,” says Bossard.
Fall Toy Preview will continue to offer exhibitors the option of showcasing their products in open, closed, or combination booths. The flexible booth formats are designed to encourage “window shopping” and drop-in buyer appointments and have been a huge success since being introduced at Fall Toy Preview in 2014.
As part of the show’s ongoing evolution, special events and networking activities will also take place, adding to the show’s playful atmosphere and giving attendees a chance to unwind, have fun, and forge new connections in between appointments.
Top retailers that have attended Fall Toy Preview in the past include AAFES, Amazon.com, Family Dollar, Gamestop, Party City, Target, Toys“R”Us, Walmart Stores, and QVC, as well as high volume specialty stores selling toys, gifts, school supplies, and more.
“We are committed to hosting a successful marketplace for buyers and sellers alike, along with an ever-growing audience of key industry players including licensors and entertainment executives,” adds Bossard. “Fall Toy Preview is all about being ‘first and focused.’ It’s a not-to-be missed opportunity for everyone in the business of play!”
